After yesterday's review of the fReado BookBuzzr widget, I got a link to ReadWriteWeb's review of a new widget from BookGlutton that does virtually the same thing – with a lot more bells and whistles.
For those who Tweet, you are likely familiar with BookGlutton, which posts a Tweet each time someone virtually "opens" a book – and gives the book title. It is a great promotional took that has sent me searching for books because of the title.
As you can see from the video below, the BookGlutton widget does a lot more than the one from fReado. It allows you not only to view the book several ways, but lets you talk to others in real time to share your thoughts about it.
BookGlutton is a reader-savvy site that capitalizes on the Web's promotional value. It was also listed as one of Writer's Digest's Top 101 Best Web sites for Writers. BookGlutton also has a detailed post on how to protect a writer's work online, something that concerned with with the fReado site. Be sure to read the comments at the end of that post.
Check out the video below for details on the new widget:

Hi Angela,
This is Vikram from BookBuzzr (www.bookbuzzr.com.) Thank you for mentioning BookBuzzr. The goal of BookBuzzr is to help authors sell more books by getting exposure to their books on as many social networks as possible. BookBuzzr also does a better job of protecting the author's work by making it hard to copy the content since we stream the content (like a YouTube video.) Also, fReado has a much higher Alexa rank than many other book sites including the one mentioned in your blog entry. Warm Regards,
