Microsoft is forging ahead with new concepts in the way we search.
BingTweet allows users to search for terms in both Twitter and Bing at the same time. That means you get a general search result, as well as a bar that constantly updates with Tweets containing the same information. You can also click the tabs to see trending topics via Twitter, and send a Tweet sharing your search results.

You cannot access your Twitter account, so you cannot engage your network via BingTweet – yet. But I imagine that you will be able to after a while.
However, I will say that not being able to access my network was a good thing. I connected with several authors I hadn't already, just from that generic search. That was worth a lot. You can do something similar through Mr. Tweet or by using a directory like Just Tweet It, but these are folks I haven't seen in those places.
BingTweet is definitely one to check out.
