A few weeks ago, my friend and Missouri radio personality Mary Furness was kind enough to do a quick interview about the best ways authors can approach radio stations for spots.
Radio is an incredibly affordable way to reach a large audience. While Internet radio is making great strides, traditional broadcast venues are still key to success.

Mary (and Angela)–
Thanks for those (audio) tips. Now I know how to approach the whole radio thing–what to expect and what’s expected.
Good advice. Most important is that they NEED material for their shows. Remembering that always makes it easier for me, as if I’m offering the radio producer something valuable, rather than asking for something from them.
