Dear Reviewer,

I am writing to you from Pushkin Press, in order to invite you to take part in a blog tour for the promotion of our highly anticipated summer release The Break by Pietro Grossi.

Grossi’s first work published by Pushkin Press —Fists—proved a tremendous success. It was shortlisted for the Independent Foreign Fiction Prize in 2010 and awarded the Campiello Europa Prize, for the best translation of an Italian work into English.

Praise for Fists:

“There is more power and pathos in this short piece of spare, timeless prose than in most densely written novels.” Daniel Hahn, The Independent

The Break is his exciting follow-up novel, also translated by the award-winning Howard Curtis. It features a provincial protagonist, Dino, whose sole passion is billiards; he spends his life honing his technique, until a series of events shake him from his slumber.

You can read more about it on the Pushkin Press website here: http://www.pushkinpress.com/engine/shop/product/9781906548469/The+Break

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the blog tour concept – the idea would be for Pietro Grossi to make a stop on a number of blogs over a set period. Each “stop” might consist of that blogger writing a review, interviewing Pietro or Pietro writing a guest post… all suggestions are welcome. The itinerary will be published on your blogs and elsewhere in advance of the tour, and at every stop on the way, to try and get readers to follow it from blog to blog, hopefully providing valuable publicity for blogger and publisher.

Please let me know if you’re interested as soon as possible, then we can set a precise date and send you out a review copy, or any contact details and information you need.

Best Wishes,
James Smallbone
